'Spring Fling' brings May flowers

Wishes will be in bloom at the third annual "Spring Fling and Flower Fashion Show" when South Florida's finest glide down the runway in unique floral creations fashioned by local florists and designers, to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida. Guests will be treated to a one-of-a-kind fashion show featuring recognizable personalities and fabulous flowers. Local fashionistas and celebrities, such as Roxanne Vargas and Miss America Touch of Class 2008 Becky Willard will take to the catwalk, along with former wish child Nicole, whose wish to be a Broadway star was granted in 2007. All will be dressed outrageous outfits created from bags of blossoms.
Each ensemble, fashioned out of orchids, roses, tulips, pansies and more takes multiple hours to produce. The creations will be designed by few of South Florida's fine florist to include Beautiful Kreations.
The event will be held at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort on May 21 at 7 p.m. Cost is $40 per ticket which includes two drinks during a cocktail reception, heavy hors d'oeuvres and the opportunity to bid on distinctive items during a silent auction.
